Chennai: Tamil actress Sangeetha Balan has been arrested for running sex racket based on a private resort at Panayoor in Chennai.
Along with Sangeetha Balan, her business partner Suresh was also arrested by the police. The accused were produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate and remanded into the police custody.
Three girls from other states have been caught from the resort and were transferred to the rehabilitation center.
Karuppu Roja was Sangeetha Balan's first movie. She later became popular through television and television programs.
Sangeetha trapped girls by offering roles in movies and television serials. Police is in doubt that more actors are associated with this racket.
