Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society wins ESAF Social Business Award

Thrissur: The first ESAF Social Business Award instituted by the ESAF Society selects The Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society Ltd. (ULCCS) as the winner, said K. Paul Thomas, Founder of ESAF Group of Social Enterprises and Hon. Secretary, ESAF Society.

The Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society Ltd. (ULCCS) has been selected for their unique activities in social business and social commitments towards the society, he added. The winner will be awarded One Lakh Rupees, plaque and citation.

The award will be handed over by Nobel Prize laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus during the launching ceremony of ESAF Annual Lecture Series on Social Business to be held on 25th June at Lulu International Conventional centre, Thrissur.

The Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society Ltd. (ULCCS) is one of the largest cooperative ventures in the country and leading players in the construction sector based in Vadakara, Kozhikode.
