Bangalore: Bineesh Kodiyeri, who is lodged in Bangalore jail on a charge of money laundering in a drug deal, could not be released after the bailiffs withdrew at the last minute.
The court has granted bail to Bineesh based on two Karnataka bailtiffs worth Rs 5 lakh and strict conditions not to leave the country.
The bailiffs withdrew after appearing in court. It is known that the reason may be the strict conditions of the court. Then Bineesh's brother Binoy Kodiyeri and his friends in Bangalore rushed to find new bailiffs. But by then it was too late to issue a release certificate.
The release will be possible only if the new bailiffs are produced before the court tomorrow and the proceedings are completed. If things are late tomorrow, the next day is Sunday. After that, the release will take place only on Monday. Therefore, the move is to bring the bailiffs to court tomorrow morning itself.
The Karnataka High Court on Thursday granted bail to Bineesh, who has been lodged in the Parappana Agrahara jail for a year.
