BAKU: The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan SOCAR and Tatneft signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of petrochemicals, according to the press service of the Azerbaijani state-owned company.
"The document was signed following negotiations between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Head of Tatneft Nail Maganov. The parties signed an agreement on joint cooperation in the field of petrochemicals, as well as a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the oil sector," the statement said.
Najaf and Maganov also discussed the prospects for cooperation, including human capital development, SOCAR said.
As part of their visit to Tatarstan, representatives of the Azerbaijani state-owned company inspected several Tatneft facilities, including the TANECO complex of oil refineries and petrochemical plants.
