NEW YORK: US President Donald Trump is planning to revoke ex-Secretary of State Antony Blinken and former US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s security clearances, the New York Post (NYP) reported.
On February 7, the US leader revoked his predecessor Joe Biden’s security clearances, remarking "Joe, you’re fired." The newspaper noted that the decision on Blinken was made over his involvement in the campaign falsely claiming that Russia was involved in the case about Hunter Biden’s laptop which contained correspondence revealing Biden’s son was trying to use his father’s position for personal business gain as well as a number of photos and videos of Biden Jr.’s drug use.
The NYP also reported that New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg who were previously involved in legal cases against Trump are among those he "plans to punish by revoking any access to classified information and barring their entry to federal facilities.".
