MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing have started talks in the Kremlin, a TASS correspondent reported.
They will discuss the prospects of further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Myanmar, as well as pressing international issues. Later, Russia-Myanmar talks with an expanded circle of delegates during an official dinner are planned.
A joint statement by Putin and Aung Hlaing, as well as the signing of a number of intergovernmental and interagency documents are planned.
As Myanmar’s prime minister pointed out today, this is his eleventh trip to Russia. According to him, the development of relations between the two countries gained momentum in 2021.
