YEREVAN:  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is not sure whether Azerbaijan intends to sign a peace agreement on the basis of already agreed principles.

"We cannot say with certainty that Azerbaijan confirms its loyalty to the three principles, these issues should be resolved through negotiations. Nor can we say that it is abandoning these principles," he said.

According to Pashinyan, the first of the principles is the mutual recognition of the territorial integrity of Armenia and Azerbaijan with the understanding that the territory of Armenia is 29,800 square kilometers and that of Azerbaijan is 86,600 square kilometers. The second principle is the demarcation of the borders in accordance with the 1991 Almaty Declaration. Pashinyan also said that the third principle of peace with Azerbaijan is the resumption of regional transport links based on the principles of sovereignty, jurisdiction, reciprocity and equality of countries.
