MOSCOW:  Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to hold a traditional December meeting with the Human Rights Council on Tuesday.

The president and rights advocates are expected to exchange opinions on "pressing issues of human rights, humanitarian activities and ensuring the rights of citizens." The council will review its work in the past year, including the execution of directives adopted at previous meetings.
