MOSCOW: The West’s initiative to create a "Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine" is in line with its penchant for breaking international law, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"By using such methods, the West confirms that it wants to go down the path of breaking international law. These methods are on par with illegal unilateral sanctions and attempts to steal others’ sovereign assets," she noted.
She stressed that the West’s allegations against Russia are absurd and the awkward structures built around this topic have no legal standing. "We are convinced that countries of the global majority will give a due assessment to them," she emphasized.
